Teen girl attacked by pit bulls in Crown Heights
Crown Height residents are calling for the apprehension of a man who they say lets his dogs attack people.
A 17-year-old girl was attacked Tuesday night by two pit bulls, and the community has come together to find the owner of the dogs and have him held responsible.
Keria Williams says she was walking her dog outside her home on Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights when a man took off his dogs' leashes and let them run after her. She says they bit her legs and her dog, leaving her dog in need of stitches.
Neighbors and other witnesses heard her screams and attempted to help, but Williams says the dog's owner yelled at them not to touch his dogs.
The community is asking anyone who might know who the owner to contact police.
