An NBA player from Brooklyn is giving back to his hometown this holiday season.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Chicago Bulls power forward and Fort Greene native Taj Gibson has been part of a toy giveaway at P.S. 67.
More than 1,000 gifts were purchased for children ages 5 to 17. Basketballs, bikes and video games were among the gifts.
Although Gibson himself could not attend the giveaway due to an upcoming game, the spirit of giving was appreciated by those who received.
Gibson's family members at the giveaway said that it is important for him to give back to the Fort Greene community.
