Police charge man in fatal Brooklyn hit-and-run

Police say they have arrested and charged a man accused in a fatal hit-and-run on New Year's Day in Brooklyn.



Tedangelo Jerome, 23 is accused of fatally striking a 53-year-old man with a 2007 black Lexus sedan as he crossed Conduit Boulevard and Pine Street around 5 a.m. Sunday. 



They say Jerome fled the scene on foot after the crash. The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police say.



Police charged Jerome with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a death and driving without a license.



The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.
