Police: String of robberies hits Heights

Residents in Brooklyn Heights are growing concerned after police say there has been a string of recent robberies.

Police say there have been six separate burglaries reported in just two weeks, which is a rarity, according to people in the area.

"This is a safe neighborhood and so the fact that criminals are brazen enough to be going around in broad daylight doing this is disturbing," says Pamela Ferber.

Police believe the string of burglaries is connected and was carried out by the same person or persons. But they haven't identified any suspects at this time.

For now, officials are warning locals to take extra precautions by making sure that doors and windows are locked.
