2 injured in Park Avenue fire in Bed-Stuy

Two people were hurt in a fire on Park Avenue Wednesday that also displaced at least one family.

The victims included one firefighter and one resident.

Officials say about 100 firefighters responded to the three-story Bed-Stuy building, and it took them about 40 minutes to extinguish the flames.

A woman who says she lives in the building's third floor tells News 12 Brooklyn that her nephew lives there on the first floor, where the fire started.

Another neighboring family was seen escaping with their cat.
