Flatbush church honors Haitian quake victims

A Flatbush church connects with loved ones every year to make the anniversary of Haiti's tragic earthquake in 2010 a day of community rather than of sadness.

Church members say their families and the island country are still restoring and rebuilding.

Haiti took another devastating hit in the wake of Hurricane Matthew just last year.

The church members describe the Haitian community in Brooklyn as strong, faithful and united.

They say they will commemorate the anniversary every year to show their loved ones in Haiti they are always with them.
