Group honors Martin Luther King Jr. by renovating church

Martin Luther King Jr. weekend means giving new life to the Concord Baptist Church Clothing Exchange to the 500 Men Making a Difference Organization.

The volunteers wanted to honor King's legacy by giving back to their neighborhood.

The 72-hour renovation is the group's seventh annual renovation project in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The group plans on having the clothing exchange center open to the public by the beginning of March.

Members say the best way to celebrate this holiday is to give back to local neighborhoods.
