New traffic safety measures to come to 21st Avenue

New traffic safety measures are being put in place on 21st Avenue in Brooklyn.

The avenue is easy to overlook, since it is right between two busy streets, 20th Avenue and Bay Parkway. But according to Assemblyman Dov Hikind's office, the City Department of Transportation will install speed bumps and more crosswalks to enhance safety.

Hikind is praising the city's response to the new safety measures saying that it demonstrates the city's commitment to improving safety for pedestrians and motorists.

The department has not yet announced when these changes will be made.
