Group helps enroll uninsured in health coverage
New York City officials are making it even easier to get uninsured New Yorkers to sign up for health insurance.
The Get Covered NYC outreach team from the mayor's public engagement unit will be visiting churches in areas with high numbers of uninsured residents.
The group hopes to enroll 50,000 New Yorkers in health insurance this year.
To enroll, applicants need to bring their Social Security number or tax identification number, proof of income and proof of residence.
