Commuters: R train elevator could cause traffic issues

Some residents say they are concerned about the addition of an elevator to the 86th Street R train station.

According to Community Board 10, the current plan is to have the elevator bump out onto the street.

It says that plan would take up a lane of traffic, forcing buses to merge left and make a much wider turn.

The MTA has not responded to News 12's requests for comment.
