Man accused of string of crimes in Bed-Stuy turns himself in

A man accused of stealing a woman's purse, leading police on a car chase and then running over an elderly woman in Bedford-Stuyvesant turned himself in to authorities Tuesday.

Todd Foy, 34, turned himself in at the 79th Precinct. He is accused of the bizarre chain of events that allegedly occurred on Jan. 11.

Kirsten John Foy, the suspect's cousin, says Todd called him on Monday to explain what had happened and to ask for help.

John Foy says his cousin is not claiming his innocence, but maintains that what is being reported is not what actually happened, and he wants to share his side of the story.
