‘Build Bridges Not Walls’ banner appears on Manhattan Bridge
A 'Build Bridges Not Walls' banner appeared briefly on the Manhattan Bridge on Monday.
The banner comes amid protests against President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration and refugees, and the discussion of Mexico paying for a border wall.
The banner, which had the hashtag #nobannowall, was discovered by a News 12 viewer around 7:30 a.m. It has since been taken down.
The NYPD says it was aware of the incident, but by the time officers arrived to investigate, it was gone. Officials don't know who is responsible for it, and no arrests have been made.
