Biobus educates students about the world of science

Students from the Frederick Douglass Academy VIII Middle School stepped out of the classroom and onto a bus Tuesday to brush up on their science skills.

Students in the sixth through eighth grades piled into the Biobus, a science lab on wheels that travels all over New York City to teach kids about the world of science.

The goal of the Biobus program is to expose more students to science, technology, engineering and math.

Since hitting the road in 2008, the Biobus teaches around 30,000 kids every year.
