3 wanted after $40K stolen in home invasion

Three men got away with $40,000 during a home invasion in Sheepshead Bay, according to police.

The incident happened Saturday inside a home on Avenue Y and East 15th Street around 2:30 a.m.

Police say the three suspects pulled a gun on a 24-year-old man while walking on the street then used zip ties to restrain him before stealing a key to his home and letting themselves inside.

Once inside, police say the suspects ordered a 50-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man to the ground and stole $40,000 and a cellphone before running away.

The men are described as being in their 20s, and were all seen wearing hooded sweatshirts and winter jackets.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
