BK running group helps train marathon volunteers

A Brooklyn volunteer organization and running group are teaming up for a good cause.

The Ocean Parkway Runners joined the nonprofit Team SBH to host a group run Sunday in order to train the volunteers of the organization for the Disney Princess Half Marathon in Florida later this month.

Volunteers and runners of all different ages met in Prospect Park to run laps around the park, each one running between seven and 10 miles.

SBH is a volunteer-run organization helping people in need in our community as well as promoting health and fitness.

The Ocean Parkway Runners are a group dedicated to creating a community of tight knit runners along Ocean Parkway.

SBH says they're expecting more than 300 runners to run with the organization at the race in Florida.
