BK residents stand behind Yemeni bodega owner

Residents in Crown Heights are rallying behind a Yemeni business owner.

Muhammad Salim shut down his bodega to protest President Donald Trump's travel ban on people from seven Muslim-majority countries.

One resident encouraged his neighbors to buy out the bodega to help the small storefront earn back lost profit.

Residents say the buyout is a showing of solidarity for all hard working bodega owners that make up the fabric of Brooklyn communities.

Salim says he never lost faith in the country because people know what's right and wrong.
