Man holds dollar store worker at knifepoint in Brownsville

Police say they are searching for a man Tuesday wanted for robbing a dollar store in Brownsville.

They say the suspect walked into the store around 2 p.m. Monday and pulled out a knife on the 23-year-old cashier. Police describe the suspect as a man between 30 and 40 years old and approximately 5'6".

Surveillance video shows the suspect rummaging through the cash register. Police say he got away with cash, but it is unclear how much.

Investigators say the man headed westbound on New Lots Avenue after leaving the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
