Panel discussion held on president's immigration order
Several elected officials, organizations, other local leaders and residents held a public forum Wednesday in Flatbush on the recent immigration policy changes under President Donald Trump.
They gathered at the YMCA to discuss Trump's executive order and how it affects the community.
Representatives from city agencies and local organizations, along with other experts, answered questions about immigrant rights, the executive order, states of citizenship, ICE raids and hate crimes.
Organizers say the goal of the forum was to implore residents to take action, organize and learn how they can stay safe over the next four years.
