Silver alert issued after woman goes missing during snowstorm

A silver alert was issued Thursday night for a missing elderly woman with dementia.

The need to find 78-year-old Rosalie Ditta is urgent given the street conditions and frigid temperatures following the snowstorm.

Ditta lives in the Mercy Home, where residents are allowed to come and go as they please.

News 12 is told she was last seen around 10:45 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Emerson Place and Myrtle Avenue, just a short walk from her home.

She was wearing a white coat, a white hat, light-colored jeans and white sneakers without socks.

Ditta is said to have been diagnosed with dementia, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

People with information on Ditta are urged to call the police.

sorry to interrupt
