Baby delivered in Brookdale Hospital parking lot

It was quite an eventful morning for a Brownsville woman who had no choice but to deliver her baby girl in the parking lot of Brookdale Hospital Wednesday.

Tayshaunia Fason was one week early from her due date when she was rushed by her sister to the hospital in labor.

Hospital worker Kevin Saint was one of the first on the scene in the parking lot.

"I reclined her seat because I could see like there is a bulge in her leggings," he told News 12.

Fason then delivered the baby in the car. Her name is Kali and she weighs 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

Both baby and mother are healthy and are set to head home this weekend.
