Advocates call for city to ban all car traffic in Prospect Park
The activist group Transportation Alternatives is trying to convince the city to make Prospect Park completely car-free.
Group member Paul White says motorists using the park during the morning commute are regularly speeding.
"The park is a park, it's not a highway," he told News 12 Brooklyn.
Advocates successfully got the city to ban car traffic during the weekends in 2015. They are now calling for a total removal of cars to increase public safety.
