Brooklyn honors NYPD officers at appreciation ceremony

For the 25th year running, the New York City community came together to honor their police department in an officer appreciation event.

The tradition was held at Saint Mary's Church.

People of different faiths and communities came out to show their support.

Inspector Scott Henderson of the 81st precinct says, "I think this is a place that can be a model of police and community working together. There's always going to be problems but when we work together, when we police from our heart, then we are going to be successful."
