Brighton Beach library reopens after a year of construction
Library goers who spent almost every day at the Brighton Beach branch say they're so happy to see their hangout spot back open after a year of construction.
The library received new heating, ventilation and an air-conditioning system along with energy-efficient lighting, extra shelving, furniture and wired computer tables. All of the upgrades have patrons excited.
The library also used to only have 12 computers but now there are 24, giving more people the opportunity to access the internet for free.
The library is especially important to senior citizens in the area, as many of them rely on the computers to stay connected with family and the rest of the world.
