65-year-old man struck by livery cab in Brooklyn

A 65-year-old man was struck by a livery driver while crossing the street in Brooklyn, police say.



The incident happened Tuesday morning as the man was in the crosswalk on Nostrand Avenue at Quentin Road in Marine Park.



Police say the victim had just left work at a synagogue when he was struck by a cab. 



The man was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.



Police say the driver stayed on scene and was issued a summons for failing to stop.
