Bus driver faces charges after hitting, injuring 11-year-old

A school bus driver in Brooklyn is facing charges after hitting and seriously injuring an 11-year-old girl as she crossed the street inside the crosswalk.

Shneur Brownstein, 28, is accused of hitting the girl with the school bus at the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and St. Johns Place on Wednesday in Crown Heights.

The girl was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, police say.

Brownstein is facing charges for failing to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
