Suspects accused in string of Brooklyn robberies
Two suspects are accused in a series of robberies in Brooklyn, two of which involved the same victim, according to police.
The most recent robbery happened on Feb. 6, around 6 a.m. on Bath Avenue in Bath Beach, when police say the men robbed a 33-year-old man of $20,000 in cash and checks.
The suspects are also accused of robbing a 62-year-old man at gunpoint on Nov. 28, as he was getting inside of his car. The robbery happened around 6 a.m. in front of a home on Coney Island Avenue and Slocum Place.
Police say the men got away with around $5,000 and $40,000 in checks.
The suspects targeted the man again while he was driving his minivan on Jan. 16, around 9 p.m. in front of a home on Senator Street in Bay Ridge. According to police, the man was ambushed by the suspects who carjacked his minivan before abandoning it on 68th Street and 7th Avenue. They stole $12,000 and $9,000 in checks.
The men were seen on surveillance video leaving the scene of the most recent robbery in a dark-colored four-door sedan with faded paint.
