Muslims, Jews come together in show of solidarity

Muslims and Jews living in the same Brooklyn neighborhood came together Friday afternoon in a show of solidarity.

The Jewish and Muslim communities of Kensington held a rally on Avenue C to fight hatred in their community and around the world.

Community leaders and elected officials, including Assemblyman Dov Hikind, were in attendance.

Both communities say they stand against discrimination, including in the forms of Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.

The groups say their goal is to promote the message of peace, starting in Brooklyn.
