Thousands of Jewish teens meet for int'l retreat weekend

Thousands of Jewish teenagers from around the world gathered in Brooklyn Friday to explore New York City on an annual weekend retreat.

Singing, dancing and meeting new friends are all part of the Chabad Teen Network's international retreat celebrating Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath.

About 2,300 teens from 30 countries are participating in this year's retreat. About 1,600 attended last year.

The nonprofit organization's executive vice chair says the retreat brings together the creativity and energy of teens, who ensure a vibrant future.
