Brownsville church celebrates Black History Month

Sunday was a day for celebration at a church in Brownsville, as parishioners honored church members from both the past and present.

The congregation of Little Rock Baptist Church celebrated their ancestry in honor of Black History Month.

Parishioners of all ages came together in song and prayer at the annual homecoming celebration.

One woman was recognized for her service to the church as an usher for nearly 50 years.

Former congregation members from all over the country were invited to attend this year's celebration. Some came from as far as Tennessee to join in the celebration.
