Park Slope cafe offers friendly space for kids

A new cafe in Park Slope is offering more than just coffee for Brooklyn residents.

Uptown Roasters, started in Harlem, and opened their Brooklyn location just two weeks ago.

The new location has an extra room, which is used for children to play in.

The shop offers the space to be used by various groups in the neighborhood. One after-school program focused on allowing kids to expand their minds with board games uses the space every week day because their space next door is overcrowded.

The owners of the coffee shop say they are taking in ideas to try to accommodate more people's needs in the community.
