Self-proclaimed 'Muslim slayer' threatens mosque in letter

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating a threatening letter mailed to a Brighton Beach mosque.

"I have a dirty little secret. I fantasize about killing non-whites. It really turns me on and I'm afraid you're on my list," reads the letter sent from a person who police say signed the note as "Muslim slayer."

Police say the imam at the mosque, which also serves as a community cultural center, received the stamped, handwritten letter with no return address on Tuesday.

A former president of the mosque says its worshippers are a bit shaken following the incident.

Police are reviewing surveillance video from the mosque as part of their investigation.
