Restaurants gear up for Dine In Brooklyn

Restaurant representatives gathered at Borough Hall Monday afternoon in preparation for Dine In Brooklyn 2017, a 10-day event series of special deals at over 75 restaurants throughout the borough.

Those who attended Monday's information session were taught about good customer service practices, menu pricing strategies and creativity.

From March 20 through March 30, diners can enjoy $28 prix fixe dinners, $15 lunches and $12 brunch specials at participating restaurants.

Lee Levine, co-owner of Tiger Box in Fort Greene, tells News 12 that participating in the event is a no-brainer, calling Brooklyn a "neighborhood-based community" and the event "homegrown and organic."

"We are hoping to use Dine In Brooklyn as a way to expand our base and to reach out to new customers and maybe to experiment a little bit with our menu," he says.
