Obama to visit La. in wake of Isaac
President Barack Obama will visit Louisiana on Monday to tour storm damage from Hurricane Isaac.
Isaac reached hurricane strength as it made landfall Wednesday, seven years to the day Hurricane Katrina ravaged the area. Isaac caused severe flooding and claimed the lives of at least five people in Louisiana and Mississippi before it weakened and was downgraded to a tropical storm.
The remnants of the storm are still powerful, bringing the threat of flash floods and tornadoes to Arkansas and southern Missouri.
The announcement of Obama's visit came shortly after his presidential rival, Mitt Romney, announced that he would also visit the New Orleans area.
