The Greenpoint neighborhood is finally living up to its name thanks to the opening of a new park on Saturday.
The $12 million WNYC Transmitter Park is more than 6 acres of public space on the waterfront, and includes a walking bridge and playground.
The park was first promised to Greenpoint residents in 2005.
