BK historian believes lost mass grave is under vacant lot

A Brooklyn historian says a rundown vacant lot in the borough could be above a lost mass grave from the Revolutionary war.
Bob Furman says a mass grave containing the remains of soldiers from the first Maryland regiment could be under the cement of a vacant lot on Ninth Street. The soldiers supposedly buried there would have died saving George Washington's army during the Battle of Brooklyn in 1776.
As of right now, the empty lot is up for sale. Furman says he is putting together a proposal for an archaeological dig that he hopes will help him get the funding and support he needs to make sure the site gets the attention it needs.
