Family fights to depose Ray Kelly, officer in daughter's death

Nearly two years after 11-year-old Briana Ojeda died of an asthma attack, her family continues to fight to depose Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and one of his officers.The family is suing the NYPD after Briana died of an asthma attack, and officer Alfonso Mendez failed to perform CPR. The Ojeda family has support from public officials to pass a law that would require all NYPD officers to be CPR certified.Briana's family is also calling for the state legislature to pass the Briana Ojeda Law, which would require that the NYPD certify all officers in CPR and would make it a crime for an officer to refuse emergency medical treatment.NYC top cop to be deposed in girl's asthma death case
