The MTA is warning commuters it is the last day they will be able to access the Knickerbocker Avenue subway station in Bushwick for several months.

The station closes at midnight for a full-scale renovation scheduled to take approximately 5 months.

Workers will refurbish the ticket booths, mezzanine area, replace stairs and update the drainage systems.

Commuters will either have to walk to the Wycoff Avenue or Broadway stations to catch the M or take the B54 bus. The MTA will operate a free shuttle bus between Wycoff and Broadway every 20 minutes overnight.

Most commuters that spoke to News 12 Brooklyn say they only heard about the closure today.
