Crime-fighting app puts public in control of their safety
A new app is putting crime-fighting tools at the fingertips of smartphone users.
The Brooklyn Quality of Life app allows people to anonymously send evidence of criminal activity or any other dangerous conditions straight to police from their phones.
The NYPD says that residents should feel that they can contact police directly, but that if the app helps the process along, then they are behind it.
