BK residents hold vigil, march for woman gunned down by police
Loved ones of a woman killed by police in June gathered in East Flatbush today to hold a vigil and march in her name.People gathered on the corner of East 38th Street and Church Avenue, where Shantel Davis, 23, was fatally shot on June 14. Police say she carjacked a vehicle and led police on a pursuit. When she allegedly tried to put her car in reverse, they shot her. Davis' loved ones say many questions have been left unanswered since they learned that officer Phil Atkins, the man who shot Davis, has been sued for alleged brutality.Funeral held for East Flatbush woman killed by police
