Filmmaker Spike Lee has many Brooklyn residents hooked with his new documentary. "Red Hook Summer," which opened today across the borough, tells the story of a young boy from Atlanta sent to live with his grandfather in the Red Hook housing projects. Fans say the film highlights the culture shock of inner-city life and the challenges faced by urban youth. The movie will run for a number of weeks depending on how it fares at the box office.
