Levi Aron pleads guilty in child dismemberment case

The man accused of kidnapping, killing and dismembering 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky in Brooklyn last year accepted a plea deal today in court.

Levi Aron pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder and kidnapping. Aron admitted smothering Kletzky before chopping up the boy and disposing parts of him in a trash bin. He also admitted he kept parts of the child in his freezer.

Under the terms of the plea deal, Aron will spend at least 40 years in prison.

Aron will be sentenced Aug. 29.
