NASA makes historic landing on Mars
NASA made a historic landing on Mars early Monday morning, and many Brooklyn kids say they can't wait to see what's there.
The science rover Curiosity burst through the red planet's atmosphere and landed in a crater, sending black and white images of the surface back to Earth moments later.
At the Brooklyn Children's Museum in Crown Heights, several parents and their children said they watched the landing with excitement.
NASA says it expects more images, including video and color pictures, in the coming days.
