BK Jews head to New Jersey to celebrate reading of the Talmud

? Brooklyn Jews traveled to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey today to celebrate the 12th Siyum Hashas, the completion of the daily reading of the Talmud, the Jewish book of laws and traditions.
More than 90,000 members of the Jewish community gathered at the stadium to mark the occasion that takes more than seven years to complete.
"This is a special event, everybody, all Jews of all types come together in one huge arena," said one attendee.
The celebration comes at the same time as Brooklyn Artscroll Publishing released an iPad version of the Talmud. To buy the entire collection of the book will set someone back $1,000. An official with the publishing company says the price is a bargain, saying it is two-thirds the price for the whole print version.
