Vigil grows for Penn State coach, Brooklyn native
A vigil for former Penn State head coach and Brooklyn native Joe Paterno is continuing to grow following his passing on Sunday.
Fans started a memorial at Paterno's statue on the state college campus in Pennsylvania after his family announced he was in serious condition Saturday night. Students and alumni say they'll remember the good things he did for the university and not how his career ended.
Paterno won two national titles and a record 409 games, but ended in disgrace after being fired for his handling of a child sex scandal involving one of his longtime assistants.
Indiana also held a moment of silence for Paterno before their game against Penn State's basketball game last night.
