Giants fever sweeps through Brooklyn
Giants fans are putting yesterday's snowstorm behind them and are ready to cheer on their team today, as the Giants take on the San Francisco 49ers for the NFC championship.
Fans in Park Slope were out Sunday afternoon, stocking up on snacks for tonight and proclaiming the Giants will take it all in San Francisco. Elsewhere in the borough, bars are offering game-day specials for those opting not to watch the game at home.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg is even getting in on the fun with San Francisco's mayor. If the Giants win, one of San Francisco's cable cars will be decorated in red and blue for the Giants. But if the 49ers win, Bloomberg will rename 49th Street as "49ers Street." The game kicks off tonight at 6:30 p.m.
