BK residents, cleanup crews brace for winter blast

The season's first official winter storm is on its way, with residents and cleanup crews preparing for the worst. People were out buying shovels and salt today, and Sanitation Department trucks were undergoing last-minute inspections. Alternate side parking has been suspended throughout the city tomorrow. In Sunset Park, MTA officials are preparing to deploy ice-busting equipment, snowblowers and de-icing cars. Buses will also have chains put on their tires.News 12 Brooklyn Weather CenterNews 12 Brooklyn Traffic Center
