A Brooklyn fifth-grader is making huge strides in track and field after recently breaking a 30-year-old record.
Mykhiyah Williams, of Ocean Hills, cleared 4 feet 8 inches after lacing up for the Colgate Women's Games on New Year's Eve. The previous mark in the elementary 'B' division was 4 feet 7 inches.
Williams' feat is only the latest in a long list of achievements. At just 10 years old, she's already won more than 20 first place awards for high jumps and holds the top spot in the country for the event in her age group.
