Cops: Cab driver arrested for raping patron
Police have arrested a yellow cab driver for allegedly raping one of his patrons by knifepoint. According to authorities, they had been searching for 40-year-old Gurmeet Singh, of Queens, since May.

Police have arrested a yellow cab driver for allegedly raping one of his patrons by knifepoint.
According to authorities, they had been searching for 40-year-old Gurmeet Singh, of Queens, since May. They say he attacked a 26-year-old woman after picking her up from a Williamsburg area bar.
Police say the victim also had her hands bound, and her cell phone and cash were stolen. She was treated at a hospital for lacerations to her hands and face.
Singh is now facing charges of rape, robbery, assault, menacing and sex abuse.
