NYPD: Officer arrested for DWI while on duty in East New York
NYPD officer Christopher Morris was arrested today for alleged drunken driving while on duty in East New York.
According to the New York Daily News, Morris crashed his squad car into a light pole at around 4 a.m. after attending an NYPD-sponsored function.
The function at the Lindenwood Diner was being held as a fundraiser for fallen Detective Peter Figoski, who was shot and killed in December while responding to a robbery in Cypress Hills.
