Neighbors: Abandoned home in Sheepshead Bay still reeks
Neighbors on Avenue Y in Sheepshead Bay say they're fed up with the smells emanating from two abandoned homes.
Investigators raided the homes two weeks ago and rescued 23 dogs from the homes, which were being used to board the dogs.
Neighbors say they called to complain about the smells, but now that the dogs are gone, the odors remain due to the piles of trash.
The Department of Health says it isn't responsible for cleaning up the mess, but will send inspectors and issue citations to the property owner if the conditions warrant it.
Police: 23 neglected dogs removed from 2 BK homes
